I'm thinking of it and would like info. I can't use a 2 wheeler, unless it's a tandem, cos I can't corner without falling over, hence my lack of motor bike skills and my intact skull and ankles.
Anyone know anything, my best bet so far is a Schwinn from Walmart

if I can try one locally first.
Gas here is now $3.75 to $4.00 a gallon, and I'm only going a wee way down the road to buy groceries. (and it's all flat!!!! yeah!!! P )
Oooohhhhh, Annie! You've had me looking at bikes now and I might just have to buy one!
I like the look of the Avalon, and at less than $100 it's cheap as chips!
Debs x )
Weirdly enough, my Mum had one when my sister and I were really small. There were 2 little seats on the back instead of the basket.
She used to cycle me to school on it. Some mornings my Dad would pass us in the car on his way to work (when there was traffic he took the same road as a short cut) and my Mum would say (through gritted teeth) "wave to Daddy!" lol
My Mum said it was heavier than a normal bike, but it did have the child seats on it.
I think it's a fab idea for getting around. If I didn't live in the hilliest part of NJ I would have considered a bike years ago. As it is, I am way too lazy to tackle the inclines round here even by foot, let alone on a bike or tricycle P
Annie - wish I'd read this before I went garage saleing this morning... Someone had a brand new one for sale...
Think it's a grand idea if it is safe in your area to ride one? By that I mean do motorists give cyclists enough room etc. here it's another story.
Good luck.
This is what you need.

This is more like it Annie
