Monster told me I should add my input.
Here's my official line. Whatever you lot want to do is fine with me!
1) There's no back yard, you'll be under 10 feet of water if you want to camp out there. There is room out front through but beware of the sprinklers and ants.
2) If most people are coming out of state from the north, it'd be a nice gesture to meet further north. However if they're going to sight-see in Dallas, then Dallas would be a better option, however Dallas had the airport tax and things like that on hotels. Plano works well for me *coff*. I might be able to arrange rooms if I know for sure how many and for how long.
3) Yeah!

Well, we'll need motel rooms unless the weather is campable, not sure which nights in total, but definitely on the 9th. We prefer the drive-up to the door type motel, but pools can sway us to the multi-story-not-really-motel type ones. Frankly, we prefer to camp so we don't need to keep the kids on such a tight leash, but your weather scares even me.

Camping in Texas in August is a little crazy.........but hey we're talking about the Monster family here![]()
Plano sounds fine. Never been there before so it will be an experience.

There's a few hotels nearby.
SunSuites is a drive up type. It's near US-75 and Parker Rd as is Red Roof Inn. Those are the closest and easiest to get at. Sun Suites is an extended stay type place with kitchenette.
If another of those are suitable, let me know and I can give suggestions. Anything on US75 between Allen and Richardson wouldn't be too far away, both are about 10 minutes from Plano and I'm 10 minutes from Parker & US 75.
There's a couple of British style pubs popped up in Plano that I need to check out *coff* so I'll let you know once I've been to them.
I do need a headcount! Please send me a PM with how many of you there will be and any special requests.
Thanks,
Nigel

What say the others ? .
I think if we all stay in the same hotel it will be a lot easier to comunicate and meet each other ..
WE dont mind which hotel we would want a non smoking room kitchen would be nice but not there long enough to make use of . most hotels have coffee makers in room and continental breakfast included in price .
like to see a few more participants than the 3 families involved ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY come on members join us

We can forgo the bar,( price as always is paramount ) sooner prefer we all stay close by in same hotel NON SMOKING the only must
$60 night sounds good
does that include bed bugs ?? JJ
english pub sounds a good rendevous .
one with a varied selection of ethnic foods so everybody is happy ( and of course licensed )
Lets nail down some details we are set on being there . a commitment is made ..
let me know if we need to pack gazebo and folding chairs and conveniant time and place for everyone to meet .
