one more Basic Level, then 5 "Freesstyle levels".....
this weekend I watched the adults compete at the midwest sectionals. Some of the were not better than me. And some of them had much bigger thights. I felt better and actually left the ice on my waltz jump today, having seen so many of them fall and live gave me a confidence booster....
No, can't surf. haven't really tried though

I tried ice skating once, many, many years ago... I was about nineteen then and it took me a very long hour before I could get around the rink without landing on my rear end. I felt very pleased with my achievement until they rang a bell for us beginners to leave the ice so that the experienced folks could have their turn.
So I clumsily and slowly made my way to the exit... and all these little kids buzzed past me with a speed and grace as they did their twirly things and jumps and leaps etc.... little kids of six and seven oops ....
I hung up my skates and decided that, for me, ice in vodka was a better deal than ice underfoot!
So I truly applaud you on your acheivement monster.... D
