Do you think this was a good or bad decision? And what about the press blackout/leak? Were they wrong to ask for a press blackout? Or should the agency that caused the leak be punished? Should Harry go home/be redeployed now he's rumbled? Do you think he played a part in the leak? He seems a bit of an attention-seeker to me.....

I heard an interview with a guy from the Times. He said all the editors, tabloids and all, were in it to give him a chance, it wasn't a prohibition, it was an agreement.
I don't mind Prince Harry and never thought of him as an attention seeker - exuberant, fun-loving young man with paparazzi following his every move perhaps but that seems to go with the family territory.
It was irresponsible to leak the story so whoever did it should (but probably won't) feel ashamed of themselves. In fact, that would be the type of person that it should be perfectly alright to walk up to and just smack in the face, for no particular reason.
If it doesn't put the prince at direct risk, it puts all the other young officers that do the same sort of patrols and missions in that area at more risk than normal. I think the soldiers in both Afghanistan and Iraq have more than enough problems without some d**head in a cozy office in USA or Britain setting them up for a firing squad.

Seriously, I think all the crap that has been reported about the lad is in bad taste.
What teenager hasn't tried pot, smoking and had a good bout of drinking sessions.
Coupled with the fact his Mum died when he was twelve and his dad is plain weird, I'm surprised he didn't go further off the rails. He's a good kid. And not an attention seeker.

I thought this too but it turns out it was an Aussie mag and a German mag that leaked it before Drudge.
As to him being there, I think it's good they brought him back in the circumstances.
No point in having an heir and a spare if the spare just wants to go out and get his head blown off. It must have been leaking over there for such action to be taken.
That or the Aussies have never forgiven us.
