How's the trucking business? Where haven't you been?
hes been *trucking *
Ps and i didnt spell that word wrong lol
Keep up, lad!
but this year hasn't been too bad. I did spend 3 weeks in Honduras in January which effectively cut out a lot of bad weather, but I've only felt bad enough to stop twice this winter, this week in New Jersey and before Xmas in Illinois.
My Dispatcher, bless him thinks I like the snow because I live in Michigan.....
I started out in Detroit, went to Memphis, back to Detroit, over to Paulsboro New Jersey, upto Rome NY, then across to Minneapolis, back to Connecticut, down to Virginia 2 days ago and am now in Columbus Ohio.
I'm heading to St Louis tomorow for a much deserved weekend off.
I'm earning twice as much as my cushy office job did, and loving it.
best thing I've ever done........
from the lower 48........
Vermont
Montana
North and south Dakota
Oregon
Washington
Idaho

Respect.
I have only done the pass in the summer, once whilst sandwiched behind a v. slow going truck/trailer and a silly ponce in a hummer. The trucker did go off into the passing spot half way up though.

I love the western slopes, out on I-70 towards Grand Junction.
and southern Utah just amazes me.
it's not ideal, and not something I will want to do for the rest of my life, but it is another string to my bow so to speak.
I did it more for the experience, the pay isn't bad........ but no-one earning $75k a year is going to run off and get their CDL.
Doing something you want to do instead of just working cause of the money.
If you can live on the income, and you are enjoying life - then cheers to ya!!!

Southern Utah is one of my favorite places in all the world (the scenery, not the people or politics)! Too bad I haven't figured out how to attach pics yet-- I've got some buets of Zion from christmas...
