Hubby just made us pancakes. Of course I am a Yank and I wanted bananas in mine. D Quite yummy. Of course being raised Catholic ( recovering ) I still give up something for Lent....can't help it I just feel I should...I am busy finishing up all my red wine as I have given up all alcohol for Lent. Good Golly....40 days ( AND LONG NIGHTS) without anything. Should be interesting at the pub this Friday night. lol roll

In Germany it's Weibefastnacht (not sure if I spelt that right) - anyway, it's the day and night when women rampage about the city snipping off men's ties. Hmmmm.....
Did you read about the Pancake Race in Ripon (I think) that had to be cancelled because of ludicrous Health and Safety regulations? I'm beginning to think that the UK is worse than here!
Finally, last night I cooked no less than 24 of Delia's Delectable Pancakes (thanks to monster for pointing out that recipe two or three years ago) and my family scoffed no less than 19 of them!!! A certain member of the family had rather more than he/she should have - and it wasn't me.
Fat Tuesday? You can "Shrove" it!
