I love to get out there and play in the snow -not just sledding and the like, but making snow angels, building forts, throwing snow balls, tunnelling.... I never really had the opportunity as a kid because England just doesn't get snow like that, but I know many other Brit expats and they all look at me like I'm out for lunch when I go out to play in the snow. Nasty cold wet stuff for children. Needless to say, the natives know I'm nuts. A few of them will sled with their kids. but that's about it. Skiing and Skidooing are the only adult snow activites! lol

I also take figure-skating classes -there are other adults who do, but the majority view it as a kid's activity.

Oh, and playing soccer with the kids at the last practice of the season. Apparently that's only OK to do as an adult if you're a bloke. Women grow out of that! P

I know we're all young at heart here -some more so than others- so what do you do for fun that the majority of other adults consider a kid thing?
Spend all day in the swimming pool when the temps are good enough. Swim, play water frisbee, anything as long as I'm in the water.
D
I sometimes wonder if I'm not living the life of a kid but with a lot more disposable income to actually do what I want, when I want.

Not really sure what others of my age do as the vast majority of my friends are younger. I still play soccer, buy toys if they catch my eye or I had one when I was a kid and play on my Xbox 360 occasionally.

Personally, I think parenting a la monster is vastly superior to those parents that just sign their kids up for activity after activity and just wash their hands of them for as long as possible. Far better to actually join in with the kids surely and share the fun times and memories together?

You just got to add boozing and whoring to the mix and you'll be livin' la vida loca. :D

Having recently had a go at Guitar Hero, I want one (and the games system to go with it) as much as the kids do!
I still do my cartwheels, handstands and all that. Can't do as much as I used to as I've suddenly gained a fear of a horrifying back injury.

It's a great stress reliever after work.
Oh Dianey, I tried a handstand a few years back to show the kids, and learned to my horror that my wrists can't take my adult weight. o I think I've done a cartwheel or two since I growed up, but now I'm scared to try.

Guitar hero, KG, awesome!

Pilgrim i totally agree I'm having my true childhoos nnow -I can actually do most of what i fancy.

Also, about joining in, I learned to do a decent freestyle and breaststroke. Before i used to doo poodle-style breaststroke only, not getting face or hair wet! lol. last summer I tried and failed to acquire a flipturn and a passable fly... maybe this year.

I too, like toys. lol
Oh yes, and I've got a spacehopper.
so do I mrgreen
Mind you, I think those exercise ball things are just a susbstitute for space hoppers

.....which reminds me a friend just sent me a cool pic in an email, just a mo.....
here ya go
lol

I am missing out on a lot of fun stuff because of being out of shape with dodgy knees. A few years ago I might have been doing some of what monster is doing.
I was recently told the best thing for dodgy knees which hurt to buggery after exercise..... is more exercise. I'm trying to decide whether I should just do it, or fork out for the copays for the doctor's office visit and the physiotherapist, who will eventually tell me that I should lose weight and exercise more..... lol

btw, swimmingis awesome for buggered knees.
yes, but not jogging! Swimming or cycling would be ideal.
Add glucosamine and chondritin supplements and msm cream directly on the sore bits, works wonders.
praying as I type, regards mrgreen
