A few years back, in shame at the horror on everyone's faces on seeing my thirty year old baking trays from UK, heavy, small and very black, I bought new ones.
Last night I threw them out.
They were light, large and everything stuck to them.
Hence the question,
What is your favourite baking tray make?
I'm not really into non stick bakeware cos I do a lot of Indian cooking and use high temperatures, which just melts the non stick stuff.
Glass if you can get em
Cheapies from Walmart, recycle regularly.

Not my favorite option, but what's working right now.
Due to the Walmart effect, everything is cheap and crap nowadays. Including brands that were once good. I think mine are called Goody and they're not so goody.

Your old ones were probably built to last.

When I do the indian food under the broiler I normally put a layer of tin foil over the baking sheet.

Oh, and mine are all aluminium without any coating or whatever. The non stick things do my head in.
Annie,

There's a restaurant supply store on Park Avenue in San Jose where I bought some commercial double layer aluminum baking sheets (and some other stuff) when we lived up there. They're strong, are NSF approved and are still going strong today.

Plus, you won't pay huge Williams and Sonoma like prices there either...

Be warned, going into that store is dangerous as there's stuff in there that if you, like me, like to cook, is tempting (and not overpriced either)...

Andrew
Mine are from Costco, large sheets
And i use a nonstick cheap liner from Cost Plus when baking cookies

Have you tried the Silpat at all. I guess they are quite expensive, but Martha raves about them
Thanks folks, as soon as I defrost I shall hit a restaurant supply place, I'd forgotten all about them and kept asking him indoors where we bought the Chinese stuff, Restaurant supply, I forget so much.
I don't bake, I use the sheets for Tandoori chicken and such, so basic plain sheets are what I need.
Thanks again.
