Yeah, we've been having a bunch of that here too.
Saw some up close last year, for about a day.

Generally, snow knows its place here and looks pretty and stays up in the mountains.

Any time it does snow, it basically brings the western part of the state to its knees as people can barely drive in the dry, let alone snow or icy conditions!

Glad you're having fun in it but I'll pass, thanks.
Man I miss the freezing weather and all the snow. Instead I have to amuse myself by watching people here scraping a tiny layer of ice with a toothpick-sixed scraper.
What pilgrim said! wink
They said there was going to be huge snowstorm this weekend. There were official 'Snow Emergencys' and everything. This morning we have a little dusting of snow. WTF?
Hav.nt seen any of that stuff for 10 years .
Left for work at 1000pm arrived 1100pm... it's only 12 miles.

Found out wipers were frozen and encased in ice about 1 minute after getting on the Interstate.

The kids love it and the dogs will only walk backwards in it! ?

It is certainly a contrast. That said, I was watching Sky news and they were commenting on how the transportation runs in the US regardless. I don't know where they were, but up here, New Hampshire is utterly hopeless at dealing with it.
I think it is partly a product of the "Tax Free New Hampshire" approach (for which read, we have no money), but the snow here ended at about 4pm Sunday and at 11.00pm Sunday, the on ramps to the interstate had still not been plowed.

Basically, if they can they like to wait for the snow to stop before they try shifting it so they only go out once.

I must admit they are good here - last year when we had 2 feet of snow dumped on us in one go, the snow plows were constantly out and the county buses were running. The school buses rarely run unless the roads are cleared so the plows have to do their job.

We have had a couple of inches this week but it's been mainly icy so the snow we do have is rock hard. Still love it though :D

I'm with Pilgrim, the snow here is in the right place, in the mountains, so we can go skiing. I can't stand the stuff in everyday life.
