I blame high fructose corn syrup, western society, Rosie O'Donnell, The Midwest, doughnuts, informercials at 3am, and plain old fashioned greed. And the horseless car. Bah!
I'm trying to decide which quarter of me is obese.
Scotland has the second highest obesity in the world, and I agree about the high fructose corn syrup.
If only Americans understood metaphor, we wouldn't be consuming something that they now use to power car engines.
I blame George W. Bush.

It’s a vicious circle and it all comes down to shagging or the lack of shagging.
Shagging is a great way of losing weight burning calories and all that, but fat people don’t get that many offers so the opportunity to burn calories is limited. Plus, if you’re not shagging you sit around watching telly, feeling bad and eating crap food and you become even more fat and thus less and less likely to get a shag.

And of course the real reason that obesity is growing amongst young people in America is the insane popularity of sexual abstinence campaigns.

So the solution to obesity here is to encourage teen sex (although not necessarily with Moo...)

The real causes of increasing numbers of obese people are:
[list] 1 political correctness
2 fat acceptance
3 availability of plus-sized clothes in fashionable styles in more stores
4 As people, homes and furniture are getting bigger, everyone feels smaller.
[/list:u]
If all of the above were not true, I would still be trying to lose weight to fit into clothes I like. Instead I have given up.

If life today for an overweight person were as it was in the 1970's, I'd be wearing a kaftan and lying in a darkened room and I'd have to buy my kaftans on the internet because they wouldn't be found in the stores.

Do you want fries with that?
You forgot all the 'supersizing' and 'superdupersizing' of fast food. Why don't they just give you a barrel of pop with a straw in and be done with it....

So long as they don't get rid of upgrading or super sizing burger meals at Dairy Queen, I'm happy.

Seemed a bit much to campaign to get rid of it when a percentage of the population doesn't have a problem with it and/or would have the time/inclination to exercise it off if they don't already have a metabolism that does it anyway.
wish i had the backing to research all the details and fight the lobby groups etc etc, but think if you look at the introduction of growth hormone as a way to fattern cattle, you will find that there was an increase in Fat folks. England won't import US beef for that reason, but at the same time started to introduce this type of treatment to its own herds. this equals more obese people in the UK to. Remember farmers get paid by the weight of the cattle they sell. So fat is good for them, petty it equals
shit and heart disease for us.
I'd hate to be fat.
whats that roy chubby brown quote, oh yea "you fat bastard' lol
I always liked "Who ate all the pies" at footy games.

We used to sing it at Steve Cherry when he was in goal which is particularly ironic as he was OUR keeper at the time D
