So, are you a ketchup person or do you prefer HP?
I'm an HPer all the way. I hated ketchup as a child and only lhave it now to flavor bolognaise sauce or on hotdogs. For some reason HP just does not work with hotdogs.
My parents are coming over next week and I have put my order in for HP so we don't run out D
I like them both but tend to have ketchup more often.
HP and Daddies keep well though - I've got a couple of bottles that are well beyond the eat-by-date and still taste ok to me. D
ketchup
can I put my order in for some tomato puree in tubes, please. D

Yes, you can. Do you have a preference of what brand?
If there is anything else, just let me know.
Both depending on what im eating
I like both but if you are having a nice fry up it has to be either HP or Daddies D
Ketchup is ok for chips and hotdogs etc.
Do any of you use salad cream or do you just use the regular salad dressings? I usually use the regular dressings and have salad cream for a treat with the price I have to pay for it here shock
Like John, depends what I'm eating, although I don't have HP, I use A1. You'll be specifying the brand of ketchup next.
Okay, Okay, I know a lot of people will say it's got to be HP, or it's got to be Daddy's, but I'll bet you couldn't tell which is which in a blind taste test, without a recent reference.

I can. I can tell a big difference between A1, Daddies and HP. Probably because I grew up with HP and only ever had HP until I was an adult.. But then, I don't have HP fruity, so that could make a difference.
I used to love Salad Cream but when we moved here and didn't get it anymore I have grown to not be bothered by not having it. I don't find that with HP. I don't know why.

They sell that in Safeway though. Seems comparable to what I'd get in Britain.
Brown sauce all the way.
Hmmm, brown sauce on a packed bacon sarnie, with butter, sauce and bacon fat running down your face washed down with a hot cup of sugary tea.

If I remember, I'll take a picture when I go to the store - might even say 'Kroger' on it so maybe they could order it for you?
Edited to add I was wrong - sorta.
It was that Amore tomato paste which is a bit thicker than puree but still in a tube and supposedly comparable if you just use a bit less than the recipe with puree - clearly, I can't tell the difference but that may not be saying much.
It was about $4.00. Amazon used to sell it online in quantity IIRC at a pretty decent price.
