Ok have not posted any thought provoking topic of late, well seems ages. But the brain has rested lol, well sort of.

So the question is, when is a minority a minority. Lots of groups like throwing the term around, when they are trying to get something. But when you stop and look at it they are infact the majority. And when can the Used to be majority claim minoriy status and thus start making demands???

the term minority is used in politics according to what is demanded .

im sure there is a *minority* of straight or to be PC correct hetosexual folks in san francisco but are there *needs and wants * being taken care of by the elected officials ??.. i think not ...
minority ,downtrodden, disenfranchised etc are convenient words used to get support for your complaint .
soon we ( as in white anglo) will be a minority in texas , cant see a special govt run task force being set up to administer to our needs .

but there again life is unfair , anybody who thinks otherwise needs to get out more .

Perhaps you should visit San Francisco before making inane blanket statements. You're wrong.

Goose, you have to give us an example of a group that claims to be a minority but is a majority.

Some minorities are not complaining, billionaires make up a small minority, and they're not complaining about it.

Are you sure you actually went to San Francisco? I work here, everyone s relatively normal, apart from the fact that most folks are nicer and much less bitter than they seem to be everywhere else.
