It has been suggested that we reduce the number of separate forums on Britnet to try and increase the volume of posts.

The feeling is that people are stretched too thin and don't want to go and visit each forum.

We're working on a formula to try and cut down the number of forums from 14 or so to about 5 or 6.

I may also create an "archive" forum and only keep about a years worth of posts "current" and the rest will be archived.

Suggestions and feedback welcome since it does affect everyone.

That said, the people who are paying $20..$25...whatever to use the board will have much more weight on what happens to the board. If you want a greater say, consider subscribing today ) http//www.british-expats.com/subscribe.shtml

I am a subscriber, but I prefer to put my opinion here where all can see.

I've lived here for a long time, so the boards in "serious stuff" mean nothing to me. I agree that there are too many boards, it is a pain having to go back to the index for maybe one post in say three different boards, we sometimes spend more time moving from board to board than on them.

I only use the forum, web searches find things for me faster than figuring out how to navigate the Britnet pages for something that may not be there.

That looks like criticism but I really do enjoy the forum. I should say that I post on a number of forums, and they all seem to have a seasonal lull at the moment.
