Simply a gorgeous day. Went to the wharf to buy some fresh salmon, took the brand spanking new Canon G9 and messed around for a bit and thought I'd share a picture of where we live with everyone (before I head off to Australia...)

Actually this is the first non bike racing related image I've shot all year!
It's funny, I very rarely just take regular "snaps" anymore, hence the reason why I bought a new point and shoot G9, primarily for when I got to Spain (it's less obvious that some stomping great camera with a white lens) but moreover so I could just take some fun stuff.
Taking this yesterday actually felt sort of liberating, plus the weather here is gorgeous right now.
What's funnier is that I leave for Australia next weekend for MotoGP and it's spring down there so it's odd going backwards in seasons, BUT, with this little camera I can shoot out of the plane window and hopefully capture some of the wonderful sunrises you can see when you fly there..

Nice photo and thankis for sharing but as with the rest of California it all looks a bit barren and partched. It looks a bit like the beach front in the Gulf states.
