We generally have just essential lights and electrical equipment on anyway, though this is a good campaign. We also mostly have CF light bulbs. I lobbed some old ones in the trash before I read that this can contaminate the ground with mercury, so I've started to collect burnt out ones to take to the recycling program. However, this is a long process because they tend to last for years!
