I don't know how many others have been following this but it is just so sad. Now three rescue workers have died trying to save the trapped miners, and the rescue has been suspended for now.

And the question that keeps coming up in my head - should they carry on? I know if it were my loved one trapped down in that mine I would want them to be found, to know that we did everything we could to rescue them. But they have found nothing to show that these men are alive. They have found two/three cavens with oxygen and water but no sign of the men.

What do you do? Do you stop or keep going, knowing that more could die trying to save these men?

Just incase any of you haven't been following this

They'll keep drilling pilot holes to try to locate them, and then try to go in if they find them alive. I think they were retreat mining and the whole mine is dangerously unstable.
I went down a retreat mine in Sunderland on a college trip years ago. Pretty scary, it was caving in to our right all the time as the face shifted. We had to crawl along the face because the seam was so thin.
been following this story for days .it might be my cynical nature but there is something about the *owner * bob murray that looks suspiciuos he shouts ** no retreat mining * to often and to loud .

the inquiry will hopefully get to the truth and i hope my suspicious mind is wrong , and it was just a unfortunate accident of nature ie a earthquake .

I think they call it 'collapse mining' or something similar. But they that know have done heat imaging and all that techno wizardy stuff and the idea of an earthquake is diminishing even more. I saw one diagram from some wizard stuff they'd done and I was stunned the place hadn't collapsed before.

Greed V little man.

The guy really needs to work on his PR. He didn't come across very well.
