Are you a shouter?

My children tell me I shout which makes me laugh because they should have lived in my childhood home to have a mother who shouted! shock

I must admit I do try very hard to not be a shouter because if I ever do have to raise my voice I want it to mean something. And I also grew up in a house where my mother seemed to shout a lot at the slightest little thing. And because my kids say I shout I make a conscious effort to change.

When my kids go back to England to my sisters they find it difficult because both my sister and her hubby shout. lol I think it makes them realise that I'm not that bad!

So, do you shout? Does it bother you? Do you find that it is just a part of your life that you don't think about it and is just accepted?

Does it matter at the end of the day )
I shout at birds. Things like, "get them out for the lads darling" or "show us your fanny girl".

I most often shout at the tv when my beloved Spurs or England are playing their usual crap. But I don't shout at people that just gives them th upper hand.
Crap it was.....

....back to the subject at hand, I'm very quiet whereas my wife is from a shouting family. If she want to tell/show me something she'll yell and I'll come like a good husband. If I want to tell/show her something, rather than yell, I'll physically move to where she is so I can talk without raising my voice (I took the poison from the poison stream, then I floated out of here....)

Yes, it bugs me but that's the way she was brought up I suppose.
I noticed a lot of Americans and Canadian families are really loud and shout. I think its the immigrant thing. Most come from Italy, Greece and Eastern Europe and they tend to shout more.
always told by an old docker " those foriegn bastards understand, just shout louder and swear alot " lol, works well with kids as well rofl
I usually talk in a quiet controlled tone ..but there are exceptions
