The updates are done, here's a quick overview.
All the templates have been reset. The only working one for the moment is subSilver. Please set yourself to subSilver to avoid broken graphics links.
http://www.british-expats.com now defaults to the forums. You can get to the directory by clicking on the "Directory" link in the navigation area. The news will still display there. You can bookmark dir.british-expats.com if you wish to get there directly.
The phpBB software that runs the forum has been updates, there are a few new features and some have gone. The Chat Room is exclusivly an IRC based chat. For those who like to use an IRC client you can connect to port 6667 on maverick.bbs.us which is my IRC server. Join #britnet. Britnet includes a java client so you can connect.
I've created a Portal link, you can use portal.british-expats.com or click the "Portal" link on the navigation menu. Please give me feedback on the portal. This will also include the BBC News once I can figure out the script.
