It has been suggested that the main part of Britnet is the forum and that the directory should be secondary.

So, if you go to http://www.british-expats.com do you think you should get the forums or the links?
No opinion, I bookmark the forum.
Forums for me - I know to look in the directory on the rare occasions I need to use it.
Is there any way to add this poll to the top of the directory page, too? Otherwise it's likely to be biased
I voted for the links -

Leave it as is, why fix something that isn't broken. Plus it doesn't take two seconds to click on the forum link.

If you come into the links page as I do, you might see something you'd like to check out...

No bother either way... 8)
I put something else because I like to go to the index page first and have a look at the BBC links. Yes I’m a lazy git but the BBC links give me a quick overview of what’s going on without having to go to another website (BBC site) and wading through it.

My reason for visiting is most definitely the forums and for that, the ‘view posts since last visit’ is my favourite button.

I would think that in this day and age ‘most’ people are smart enough to bookmark a site to open on the page they want, without the webmaster having to intervene.

/The forum is part of the site not “the” site right
Arghh, Britnet has been infected with the well known American disease, " it ain't broke but we could fix it" , I'd just like a faster connection. We pinged and stuff over the weekend, I can't remember where the slow down occurred but there's a definite slow down between servers at some point.
