The sixth and last Harry Potter book???

I'm supposed to go to a book store party with my daughter and granddaughter, but at the moment, I'm rethinking this... roll
not me
is it 6 or 7?
It's number 7, I just lost count...
I have a copy on reserve for Lucy...we drove past the bookstore at midnight and the queue was up the street!

We'll get it in the morning.

Debs x roll lol
Very wise. People were lining up yesterday morning just for the wristbands that let you buy your copy first! There are enough books for everyone that wants one so that just shows how crazy it all is.

Going to a midnight party was the last thing on my mind until my wife and her friend decided they wanted to go and have a look. We were out eating when they decided so I kind of had to go along too. What a nightmare....hardly room in the store to move your arms.
na there will be plenty about and how much reading can you get done when you get home lol
well I stayed home in the end! I called my daughter at the store, and oh my goodness you couldn't even talk cause of the noise in the background. Didn't need that headache at midnight.
Amazon.com is selling them cheaper too...
So we went out and got it around midday.....she finished it an hour ago.....6.30pm.

Debs x shock
There were quite a few people at the swim meet this morning reading it. All had taken the dust jackets off. Not sure if that was to protect them from wet or hide what they were reading or if this is standard practice here. I attended a "book club" a few weeks ago (for the first andf last time) and one of the women there had removed the dust cover from the book. Maybe she was embarrassed that it was such a crap book, but she did report having enjoyed it.......
Got the book and the cds today. Jim Dale reads the book, unabridged, and won some award for his multiple voices that he has sustained over the series. I'm looking forward to hearing. grin
we reserved a book for my 16 year old, and she and her Mum went to the movies to the film and then I met them at Barnes and Noble at 10pm, they were going to give the books out at 11, so my daughter said, "I am not waiting that long, lets go home" marvellous. We went back and picked up the book today, in and ouyt in 2 minutes. My wife is reading it now.

I think its standard practice for book lovers to remove the dust cover. My wife always does and replaces it when she has read it and is ready to store it in the book case , that way its in pristine condition , she returned one she had ordered once cus there was a cut on the bottom end of the dust cover .she never takes the first book on a pile if she is buying .. fishes down the pile to get one that has not been handled by customers .

lol funny that the covers were designed to protect the book but are now themselves being protected
Well I rushed to the library and got the new Harlan Coben book '"The Woods" that I had been waiting my turn for. Started it at 10am yesterday and will be finished it tonight probably.

As in all his books....everyone dies/isn't really dead/ etc etc. But it's good.
I got bored with Coben. But I was excited to find the latest Carl Hiaasen at the library this week. It's OK, but not as good as the earlier stuff. Also MIL just brought me the latest Jilly Cooper. same thing. But it's so hard to find new "must read" authors.
