Not assuming anything she got out by playing the health card .
tell me what evidence you have that ANY AVERAGE POOR PERSON would get out by being sick ????
They just get sent to the hospital wing ....

The point being if it was COMMON practice to consult a bunch of doctors when a immate is crying and complains of not sleeping and asked to see a shrink and they get released on these grounds there would hardly be any convicts left in jail would there ?
how many inmates have tried to commit suicide or refused food and still serve their time ??

im a feeling they released her on the threat of a law suit should she REALLY become sick .

the average joe would.nt have the means ( money ) and influence ( family) to use such a ruse to put presure on the authorities
just my opinion .

I heard that the actual norm for that offense was 2 or 3 days, because they need the cells for more serious criminals. If she had served the 23 days it would have been pandering JohnA and Nancy G. and their followers.

What has my opinion to do with nancy grace i never watch her show ...i think i have more followers then she does :-)

Her offence .
she was stopped for dwi* i think more then once * got a suspended licene ( in its self light most get more ) and was sent to rehap which she dunched out of ,then see drove on a suspended license which was a violation of her probation .. she cocked her nose at the law many times . her sentence was more of a reaction to her attitude then a punishment for her crime . we cant have people just disregarding the law simply cus they have money and power .

Nah, I'm with John A and Nancy G on this one.

Being rich and not-used-to-all-this shouldn't be a reason to go home. Everyone suffers from stress and anxiety from going to jail, surely. I have a friend who used to work in a county jail as a nurse. Apparently it was very difficult for the doctors there to give any treatment for real diseases, let alone imaginary ones. Do bear in mind many inmates are really mentally ill.

Anyhoo, Al Sharptons on the case now and busy rallying a protest.
My point was that it would have been special treatment to have kept her for the 23 days, no non-violent prisoner is held more than a few days at that nick.
Did,nt the Guiness guy get let out with some terminal illness in the UK and then make a remarkable recovery.

She was meant to do 45 days and that got reduced to 23. She must have played that card of the rich and famous, that she was abused as a child and is a drunk and she's gonna check herself into a clinic. Its all the rage don't yea know lol
I don't know why I bother lol
Well she gets to go before the judge again on Friday...

Poor baby missed her doggie, and her cell phone, and everything else that goes along with being a little miss rich priss, oops I mean princess. Yeah right!

Next there'll be a tv show on her 72hours behind bars.
About time the news media gave some deserving people the air time.

Micheal i think we are on two differant paths , the fact the sentence my have been to harse in the first place is a debatable point and you may be right . but there is a procedure for that its called * appeal * she dropped that i wonder why ,my feeling is because the FIX was already in .

the sheriff has SOLE duridiction on letting prisoners out in the basis of overgrowding and frequently does just that .

in this case the reason given was "health" and no attorney from the prosecution was allowed to have a say and thats part of the problem , the sheriff as i understand it has no authority to let a prisoner out on those grounds .where is ROB when you need him :-)

What if every sheriff let out prisoners out cus he thought they were over sentenced or a doctor told him they suffered from a mental problem .?

we are a *nation of laws *and there are procedures to be followed that appear to have been ignored in this case .

She has been ordered to appear in court today while attorneys discuss the action taken by the sherrif

its not Micheal that your words are being ignored they are very valid ,but as i say there are ways to correct this oversentencing if that infact happened .
IMO the sentencing judge and others were steamrollered into something that didnt quite follow the rules ..

which of course in a fair society must be respected by ALL .

My point was that it only a local nick and it is routine to send people home after a few days in that jail because they don't have enough room. If the sheriff had said it was to make room there would be no argument.
Apart from the fact she's shaggable why does anyone care about this?

Tens if not hundreds of people, mostly civilians, are dying because of a war prosecuted by your American government.

I wonder what Katie and Tom are doing today?

the people care about it cus the press push it the press push it cus folks like P/H want the publicity being in the public eye brings with it responsibilty as well as the wealth and oppotunity if presents .

this thing is now blown out of proportion and is a power struggle between the sheriff and the judge.
paris hilton is now a pawn in tHE game .

it could have all been avoided if as she said in her MANY press conferances before surrendering to jail she did her time and behaved herself and learnt her lesson being a example to all the fans who follow her that the law cannot be laughed at .

then the sheriff could have let let her out perhaps after serving a short time and using overgrowding as the reason ,
as is the NORMAL PRECEDURE in cases like this .

instead what does she do?? crys and screams like the spoilt child she is and gets he rich influential parents to hire a bent doctor to say she was sick and a weak sheriff who let her out to aplease the rich .both she and the sherrif have bought this fiaco on them selfs ,niether in my opinion are very smart .

why even as she was back in court today she cryed and asked for her mummy or as Arty Lang wouild say ...... whaa whaa whaa .....

take a leave from martha stewarts book .Many folks thought she didnt deserve the punishment she got but she served it with grace and dignity .

The American so called justice system is a complete joke. They all deserve what they get.
