I'll wait till I see all of the facts. he was living a normal life in Atlanta, he was told that he wasn't contagious. He was in Rome when they hit the panic button. As I read it at the moment, his doctor figured he was OK but when the highups in the CDC heard about it, they panicked and are covering their asses, "just in case".

Well more and more news about this case is becoming public every minute the problem is like all news stories they have conflicting facts .

{quote}
Speaker flew to Europe for his wedding and honeymoon after being advised by health officials not to make the trip because he had TB. Then, while he was in Rome, U.S. health officials told him to stay put because further tests showed he had an even more dangerous, drug-resistant type of TB than previously thought{.end of quote}

According to the latest his doctors ..advised him..told him ..?? not to travel but he did anyway and then they contacted him when he was in rome and told him to stay there. ,he fly back throu canada apparantly to be sure of getting the right treatment in the us .

A red flag was raised when he arrived in canada but no action was taken .
of course his story is going to be different then the doctors and authorities involved in this case .. he is C.H. A to .
only time will bring out the truth

I heard that he was told he wouldn't survive anywhere but the US if he did indeed have TB of this particular strain. And of course the US with all it's magnificent medicine available to the few and lucky may be right.
Over this way we've just put a punk in isolation cos he travelled back from somewhere, Japan/ Korea/China, with measles, and then flew internally within the USA.
The whole rumpus, in my opinion, is caused by the fact we have Homeland Security, doing such a good job that two people they were notified about managed to fly within the USA carrying dangerous contagious diseases.

Makes you feel like yelling, Hey George, this wasn't a job for a buddy, you needed someone who knew what he was doing. Or she, as the case maybe. Mind, we don't see that many buddy appointments in the female line of republicans, or have I missed some. ( I'm not thinking of the dufus who got her boobs fixed, her lips enlarged and her face botoxed for fixing an election.)
don't we all feel so safe and well knowing we have the great homeland people taking care of us lol. This guy was red flaged and still walked in.

Think the fact he went through canada to get back in says it all really.

I heard that his inlaw works for the cdc and is an expert on this very rare strain of TB and all of a sudden his guy goes down with it. what are the chances of that ever happening. Maybe the guy is pissed off with his son inlaw lol
Now he's getting famous appearing on all the tv shows. Would have thought he should be in a sanitarium somewhere.

That's what they wanted to do with me 25 yrs ago, when they thought I had it. We were in Turkey, and they flew me to hospital in Germany, and told me if my tests came back positive I'd have to go to Arizona for a year in a hospital away from everyone!
Thank goodness the tests came back negative.

Seems funny his father in law works in the business of dealing with the stuff... makes ya wonder.
Tests taken since his arrival back in the US have determined he is not infectious, so how about we do not hung, drawer and quarter him...just yet.
He was told that he wasn't infectious before he went away. He was advised to not travel because he would miss his medication. he was advised to go to Denver, when a bed became available in a couple of weeks; he would then be there for a few weeks. He decided to go on with the wedding in the meantime. Up to this point, he had been dealing with local authorities who do not have the power to quarantine. At this point, CDC got involved and hit the panic button and and acted as though he was terribly infectious.

CDC told him he had to be sorted by the Italians, or come up with $140,000 for a plane home. He knew he wasn't infectious so he came home by a backdoor route. He has since been tested and they found no trace. Highly suspicious.
So many conflicting stories .
and we wont hear about the official medical report cus that is confidential unless he opps to release it which is hardly likely .

he was interviewed on the tv last night and his wife wore a mask if his condition is not contagious why the mask ????
I agree something not quite right in the whole story .

I think we're just discussing him, don't think anyone is hanging him yet!

If I were one of those people that sat near him on all his flights, I'd definately want to hang him...

Selfish bugger... :???:
