Hi there to all those who remember me and to those who don't!
It has been quite a while since I was here at Britnet, but I am still around and now have a new computer which allows me to do things so much quicker than the old one. That means I can pull up at least ten threads on the forums in the time it used take to read one! lol

I am still living in the same house in Oregon and will have been in the USA for twenty years this coming October. I have decided to become a US citizen, finally, and hope to acomplish that this year or maybe next.

Much has happened since I was a regular contributer here, the most traumatic was quite recently. My hubby had a heart attack back in January and had four stents put in. But he failed the stress test a few weeks later and they discovered he needed a bypass too. Well he ended up having a triple bypass and is now three weeks into recovery.

I am now going to read some of the hundreds of threads I have missed since I was here on a regular basis though I doubt I will ever catch up!

But it is good to be back.
Welcome back. Good luck to you both for a speedy recovery.
Welcome back, and Happy Belated Birthday (6th) )
Oh my goodness, Melhug! It is so good to hear from you. I am sorry to hear about your other half, though, and hope he makes a speedy recovery. You must have been worried sick.

How is the writing going?
Welcome back Mel. So good to hear from you. grin

Wishing Mr Melhug all the best for a good recovery.
Well well well welcome back .

lots of new faces here that will be interesting for you to meet .
and some of us oldees are still hanging on in there ..
remind me to get a life

lol lol lol lol lol lol lol
Welcome home.
All the best to you and Mr. Melhug.
Welcome back. Now give that Pilgrim a shout now that I ain't in Oregon no more.
Hi again and welcome back Melhug. Are you still writing? We've missed your peaceful influence. smile
good to have you back and as Rob S said welcome home
Hi Melhug. Good health to hubby. I went through the same thing for a two bypass. In a few weeks he will be running around like a rabbit!!.
Thanks everyone!

Mr Melhug is doing well. Good job I learned to drive a couple of years ago though, as he isn't allowed to. So I have to do all the driving for now. (I still don't like it though!)

I do still write, but the computer I had was not suitable for what I needed to complete my work etc... so I put it on the back burner for a while. But, once I purchase and install a good writing programme in this one I will look at getting another book done. Lots more has happened in my life too... and writing was not a priority.

Thanks for the welcome home! Now who's making the tea? wink
