you know, I get one of these, or something like it, plopping into my inbox about once a day. The most prolific tend to be from people claiming to be from The UK National Lottery- though there is never any mention of Camelot, who run the National Lottery. So I quizzed 'em and actually had a few replies- they never stated why they needed so much information, but that they were part of Camelot and quite genuine. The email even had a little Lion & Unicorn crest on it. Seems to be the latest scam going around, telling people they've won a share in a multi million pound draw.
Its just spam.

I think you forgot to add the ;)

........You're not serious?

This just plopped into my email.. http//www.lottery.co.uk/info/scams.asp I'm getting fed up with the amount of crap i'm receiving, this link tries to explain it. Hmmm.
Yeah thats why i posted my email .
As i said it looks genuine with addy phone # name and everything .

some folks wil be tempted to answer thinking they can stop when they fiqure it out its to later then ......
the authorities have no hope of keeping up with it as they flush them out the differant versian appears .

what i dont really understand is when i read stories of folks who not only got caught by the scam once ... they tried it again and got ripped a 2nd time .
JohnA, I just looked at the address again, that's close to my old secondary school. If the kids there are like some of the wide boys and spivs in my classes, it would explain a lot.

Nah, I just checked, it's on the corner of North End Road and Gorleston Street, where I thought it was, but the school now shows as a primary school.
