The creation museum

I was rather hoping this is an early April Fool's joke, but I have a fear it may be for real.

It's not the believing in creation that's causing me the problem here, but the extreme lengths that the museum seems to be going to to refute what seem to me to be indisputable physicaly-observable-by-all facts.
It seems a little 1984 or something.

I thought most Christians were OK with the idea of evolution and viewed Genesis as a story to help understand God's part in creation before there was proof as to what was actually created when it all began. (Similarly the flood was a parable to explain climatic changes)) Maybe I've been talking to the wrong ones.

The Church Of The Vegas Rudeboy makes plenty of sense. All other religions are wrong but we don't hold that against you. I approve of booze, smokes, fatty foods, big gas-guzzling cars, beating children, exotic dancers, guns, porn, freedom of speech and not having great big mega-churches.

I think it would be a fun thing to do ,if they had somebody there as a *expert* who would allow you ask the questions nobody is allowed to normally ask like why if god is so omnipotent/omnipresent/and omniscient does he allow little children to die in agony. and what premise does he use when he decides who will be blind, disabled , poor ?? etc
