I think you understood my post.
Basically, for some people, home ownership makes sense. For many it doesn't make any sense, and for a large number in between it could go either way and they shouldn't listen to the propaganda put out by banks and politically motivated economists.
People mof low and erratic incomes (as opposed to people on higher and erratic incomes) should not buy - even in renting costs more on a monthly basis.
