I haven't been posting much because life is so hectic!

Had a wonderful "afternoon off" walking along felled trees over mealting ice swamps. All the kids managed to fall in, of course. Might post some pics next time I have a moment.

It's the lull before the storm.

Tomorrow, the sprogs are off school and I have to file the 990 tax return for the school, get out a membership mailing for the summer pool, one for the winter swim team, get Hebe to a three hour academic games practice and help her swot up on 12 presidents then make flash cards about each president from 25-W. On Tuesday Hector has a field trip, on Wednesday, Hebe has to be on the coach at 7am to go to the State academic games championships, Thor has a field trip and I have the first "board" meeting for the publishing company I am involved with. Hebe returns on Friday, The kids have science olympiad, then it's straight off to the carbo-load spaghetti dinner for the swim team, followed by championships next day. Oh and I'm supposed to get Google checkout sorted for two organizations this week too. And there's all the regular stuff on top off that, like hair cuts for the boys, skating lessons and another AG practice Tuesday, swim practice Mon and Wed thur for the boys, skating lesson for me, haircuts for the boys.....

phew! lol

How are you lot all doing? Busy, busy or bored to tears?

I am also the new Scrip fundraising co-ordinator for the school, and am a little proud that we just passed the $10,500 raised so far this year -previous years have seen around $11,000 at year's end mrgreen So nice to know that the sacrificed housework was worth it ;)

One day, I'll tackle the pig sty we call home. One day.....
We're in the high 70'sF, so every day is spent outside, weeding, planting, vegging out and generally relaxing in the long awaited warmth.
The serious stuff starts again on Tuesday, and until then, well, maybe last thing Monday night we'll have a run thru of all that's meant to happen, we're off air. Happily. mrgreen

The day you do that is the day I have no more excuses with mine ;)

Erm, yes, life is just a little hectic and it is only going to get worse - mother comes next week!

Kids with sports (James gets clearance Wednesday to go back! Yippee  ), James with work which now needs changing, me with three jobs that are 30 hours a week in total and college full-time, Phil is busy with work as usual, life is just a litle crazy to say the least. It's actually going to get much more organized because in the spring (which actually begins this week for the older two and in three weeks for Andrew) both James and Katy do track in the same school which means they both finish at the same time and go to the same events - one less car-pooling to organize. And Andrew is starting track in the Spring too after wrestling has finished. His won't be the same time or same place but it does mean no one is home before 5:30pm every school night! No more having each day a different time and place. It's just going to be a really long day for the older two - out at 7am and back after 7pm, then there is homework and studying to do.

I am half way through this semester - yes! Now, it is just downhill from this point on until the middle of May which is when I finish. Doing full-time college and work, and treasurer of the English Honor Society, and just trying to keep the house going is just getting a little too much. But I haven't collapsed yet so there is hope I will make it all the way to May. ;)

Monster. Words fail me. Good luck with everything and kudos to you and yours for all that you do!

Meanwhile, here at Chateau Foreignbitch, we plod along, struggling to wake up after the time change and looking forward to this being a four-day week for the kids.
Much the same as the rest of you guys, mounds of laundry piles moving slowly down the different levels of our house. We actually share socks now as no-one has time to pair and pack them.

Need to get people at work to take more responsibility for their actions, with 720 kids and parents with them is very emotionally draining.

But the weather here at the weekend has been stellar! So things are good

I hear ya. only beest has his own because he has such montrous plates. but all his are the same to reduce effort. I have also reached the "it's above freezing, just put on your boots and go like that" point occasionally  This is a new one on my kids who are testing to see how far it will go.... "can I go naked but for this pirate hat, seeing as I'm not going to be getting out of the car?" etc

And yes, I gave up capitalization for Lent

My hectic life is due to something much more boring and inane. I have worked the last 3 weekends performing DST patches to our servers, but thankfully it went without a hitch. Now I work for the next 3 weekends catching up on work that I wasn't doing while I was applying DST patches !!!

 You two made me laugh. If it wasn't for the pirate hat I would swear you were talking about my three when they were that age! And the boys were outside playing footbal yesterday in shorts and wife-beaters  I'm sure the only reason why they bothered wearing clothes is because they would be arrested for indecent exposure.

As for pairs of socks - oh yes! We gave up on those a long time ago. However, Katy constantly complains that the boys stretch the socks so much that she can no longer wear them and keeps trying to hang onto the last pair of non-stretched black ankle socks she has! We thought she was defeated on Saturday but we searched high and low and managed to find two black socks that are not stretched!

she'll have to get into Hello Kitty socks. Or ones with pictures of girls' panties on them or something.....
mine at the moment is not so much crazy as boring since my auto accident , i did do some stuff around the house this weekend im spending a lot of time on the phone keeping my claim moving along they have offered a settlememt for the car but then i had to send the title before they cut the check . the paper trial is getting big and at the moment its just put into a plastic tray to be sorted thou if needed .

Melanie is working longer and longer hours her plant is about to take on a second shift and she has to recruit and train new employees .

It's usually cheaper/easier to wait until they are born.

You are so bad Monster, but when I checked the OP I would have seen the same
Mine is nutz too, Hubby was on business all of last week so it was just a pregnant me and two boys (8 and 2), soccer started so practices and games each week. I am trying to paint kitchen and bathroom before Saturday, we have a realtor coming to check out the pad. I am organising, trashing and hiding stuff in the attic as we will hopefully be selling this place by the end of the summer. I have to do it now as I will be too big to do anything constructive by then. I am 8 weeks and am having to hide out until Thursdays scan to make sure all is ok. I'm hiding because the few who know I am are like wow you show. Archie keeps eyeing my belly suspiciously (sp?) I have been trying to find a daycare for 3 days a week for Trevy and for Archie on odd weeks as he will be year round starting July. I have been inudated with laundry, I stood for 2 hours ironing the other day. Todays task while Trevy takes his 3 hour nap (love it, hope the next one sleeps like him!) is to tidy the basement and garage. Wish me luck I'm going in !!!!!!!

Good luck to everyone else who is also in it up to their eyeballs!!
