The world's scariest home video! A skydiver's chutes failed to open and he spun to the ground videoing all the way -including impact. His partner jumping after also videoed the whole thing. They guy survived with just a broken ankle and punctured lung.
Wow.
He takes time to wave goodbye too. Can you imagine? *shudder*
Yikes. At least there was some parachute there to slow him down some.
Dammit! - So close to one less sky diver in the world. Makes you wonder though, would they have shown the impact if he'd infact snuffed it? I guess that would have been less of a story, but then its the British tabloids, so the ghouls would have lapped it up.
roll
It's not just the British tabloids, I just picked that site because it was the fastest to load. And remember Steve Irwin?
It was on the BBC news in the UK last week. I thought the wave goodbye on the camera was eerie - I think I'd be too busy crapping myself to think to do that.

What's wrong with skydivers?
My OH used to love sky diving when we lived in England. Mind you that was many many moons ago and was not such a popular pastime as it is now.
I've done two static line jumps. Didn't have the money to take it further, wouldn't have the nerve now. I don't think. Well I might, but I have young children so it's irrelevant. Maybe when I'm old and purple ;)
Have never done a skydive, but watched my daughter do a 134m bungy jump a couple of weeks ago in NZ and felt very sick. She did persuade me to paraglide with her which was fun and seemed nice and sedate in comparison grin
Never done it thought about it a couple of times thats as far as it went .
to old and broken to attempt it now smile
