Well, we're finally stopping traveling and settling down somewhere permanant. Heading off to Madison, WI next saturday and renting somewhere for ourselves. I've been here two years and we've been following Mrs Servalans jobs around the country but we've both had enough so we're taking all of our crap and moving it into an apartment. Mrs S has been on the move for 6 years and is utterly sick of it, i'm quite looking forward to getting a job and having friends. Madison looks like a cool place, it has lakes, is cycle friendly and there's a cool music/coffee shop scene there so maybe i'll do some gigs sometime. Its on an Isthmus, which isn't anything spectacular but you have to explain to some people what an Isthmus is.
Finally we get to be a bit more normal and I get to take my driving test sometime soon.
Hooray. razz
Well good for you and enjoy, if ever I get that way you can buy me a beer or two lol, but never say never lol
Congrats and good luck to you both -) I have a British friend in WI not sure whereabouts though......................
Nice one, there's no place like home, home being where you hang your hat for more than the odd month or two.
Congrats.
I like Madison except I think I would not like the winter. I have some friends there, she teaches high school, and he's a prof.
heh, yes the winter. Currently about 10 degrees, may rise to 15-20 by the time we move. I look at it this way- the grounds frozen, we're not going to get muddy taking the big things across the lawn and through the back door. grin
ps this is where we're going http//www.prairiemod.typepad.com/photos/middleton_hills_2006/
Good luck to you both. That looks like a very clean bright town.
Are you looking for a prairie style house? I thought they were neat.

I am a big fan of that 30's "Lloyd-Wright Lite" style personally. One of the few things I liked about the midwest.
