My missus has been chirping to me about Lily Allen for a while now, but I never took any notice wink
Last Saturday Lily Allen was the music guest on SNL, so I DVR'd it for the missus and to be honest after listening to her two live tracks I thought her songs were pretty catchy. Her songs are kind of pop/ska sounding and the lyrics are very similar in composition and style to Paul Heaton (you know the geezer from the Housemartins and The Beautiful South)

Lily Allen's dad is Keith Allen, you might know him as the actor from Shallow Grave/Trainspotting and from this new Robin Hood thing which the BBC has done, and not forgetting his contribution with World In Motion and Fat Les. My missus hasn't heard of Keith Allen so I summed him up with one word.........."nutter' wink

Here's a couple of links for Lily Allen if you want to check her out................

we've been listening to Alright, Still quite alot in recent weeks. Mrs S likes it and I have to admit its kinda catchy and comes in under fourty minutes so you don't get bored with it. Refreshing to hear cheeky, chirpy tunes that aren't all over produced and shouty. Reminds me of Ian Dury's style of delivery.
Don't know how well she'll do over here, but I don't care. There were posters all over the Tube for the single when we were in london, glad we picked it up.
She's in Philadelphia today, at the Theatre of the Living Arts.

I'm listening but not sure
