Oh I like this, I'm a sucker for hugs, although i am fussy about the people I hug. I always remember my friend Kathy telling me after a BBQ, "but it's the American way Annie, we hug," I was new to the country and didn't know, but I love it, we hug everyone we meet. Just like hisnibs and I always kiss and hug when we part or rejoin, I mean, we're living in the wild west, you never know what's going to happen out there.
What's worse is I remember an older friend of ours from Uk who has been a widow for an awfully long time and was so astonished at our little ritual and later confessed she'd wished she could remember the last physical contact she's had with her hubby before his sudden death.
Physical touch is so important and so overlooked.
Ewww... this creeps me out. I certainly don't want some unwashed stranger running up, invading my personal space and wrapping his patchouli scent around me
/wonders if the "Free Cockpunches For All" campaign would be more appropriate

Im not so much a hugger as i used to be (pc killed that ) and i wonder how long it wil be before the handshake is taboo because some militant group gets offended by it .
why would a stranger be any more* unwashed * than members of your own family
reminds me of the 60/70 when i was called "dirty hippy* cus of my long hair by folks who stank more than a skunk who had fullen into a pile of shit .
