£170K for an 11'*7' "flat" which doesn't even have a light bulb. Is it really so beneficial to live right in the heart of London that someone would choose to pay that much to confine themselves in that shioe box? Wow. I'd be interested to read an interview with the new purchaser if it sells -and a follow-up a year later.
In 1947, we moved to a fancy house; think "Upstairs Downstairs"; that had been requisitioned by the council and converted into flats. We moved away in 1955, and I suppose they restored them and gave them back to the owners.
A couple of years ago, I read that Tony and Cherie had just bought one of them for £3.85M,
unfortunately, the rental market fell and they had some cash flow problems

depends who they get to screw in the lightbulb.

But it would be interesting to see if they're still there, how they did it up and how happy they are at being able to touch both ends of their home when stretching in bed.
