Took some Walkers Lamb & Mint crisps to my workplace the other day. As you can imagine, mostly horrified reaction all around. I did it mainly to wind people up.
Not entirely sure about them myself. They taste very nice, but perhaps not quite as a crisp flavour. Also contains the slightly worrying ingredient "lamb powder" (!!?)
I was surprised that people were almost equally closed minded to good ol' cheese and onion, which I brought a few days later. Considering Canadian chips have such disgusting flavours as "ketchup".
Have you had similar encounters with peculiarly British things?
As an aside for those in the Toronto area, Bulk Mine, which is mostly a sweet (candy) shop now sells the full array of Walkers crisps at $145 CAN a bag. It's a rip-off of course, but I've seen them for $2+ elsewhere.
