Good news in some parts of Canada if you like BBC news.
BBC World, which for many Canadian cable subscribers, has been languishing in the digital tier of stations, is soon going to be offered on regular cable by Ontario's largest cable provider.
Rogers Cable is moving BBC World to Channel 37 (at least in the Toronto area) starting in early February. It replaces CNN Headline News which is being moved elsewhere.
It will be interesting to see CBC Newsworld's reaction, as it currently re-broadcasts BBC World's news at 1800 Eastern. In a sense BBC World is now a competitor to Newsworld in the most populous part of the country.
