Somewhere on this board (and I've searched and cannot find it) I said I would never own a dishwasher.........well when we got the new design for the kitchen after our flood in October I asked for a dishwasher to be included, much to the horror of Mick.

Two weeks ago our kitchen arrived and after many hours of installing it all (we did it ourselves) I am now the proud owner of a posh new dishwasher and I love it.

Kids say we have finally got out of the past roll

And it's from this point that the ownership of a dishwasher becomes a necessity rather than a luxury! Enjoy it - and I hope you don't get flooded out again.

..........and the chances are we will be flooded again because the powers that be are so slow sorting out the city drainage and the Corp of Engineers have not decided how to alleviate the Bayou problem so we will get into the new hurricane/tropical storm season and I will be panicking everytime the water rises :roll:

I have been through 4 dishwashers in 7 years. I think I am hard on them.

Enjoy your new luxury. We have one machine and then ofcourse the kids.... )
