Ok more questions regarding the I-751. An older couple we know wrote a letter of support (affidavit of support) to send along with the I-751. They wrote the nicest letter for us and we are so grateful, except they spelled my husband's name wrong! His name is Lewis - they wrote it Louis (it happens all the time). sad

Do you think this is going to be a big deal?? We feel bad to have to ask them to re-write it since the took the time to write such a nice letter! I'm just worried that immigration will read it and go "yeah right they know him, don't even know how to spell his name correctly".

What do you all think? Should we ask them to re-write it? Or send it as is with the I-751?

Thanks everyone for your opinion!!
IMHO It may not be a problem, but why take the risk? It would be better to get them to re-write the letter if you can.
Thanks Rob.. that's true - I don't think we want to risk it. We'll have to go ahead and ask them to re-write it with the correct spelling.
