I made one today to entertain my neighbors who find the entire concept highly amusing. I had to shred my own suet (and white-lie to my neighbour that it isn't the same stuff she puts out for the birds in the winter) but the end result is quite palatable - and I even have some Bird's custard to go with it. I only hope that it will be OK to let it cool now and then re-wrap it in foil to be reheated in a few days. Do you think it will be?
Next item to share with them will be a treacle tart (now that Stop & Shop is selling Lyles syrup on a regular basis) and mince pies. Can't wait!
Absolutely, cold is best...with jam.
I prefer my dick body temperature with a little cream.
You only can make this item if you can remember the saying from the Bible that is imprinted on Lyle's Golden Syrup tin??? wink
Does it count if I go and read the tin?
Do you know they are now selling it in plastic squeezy bottles?

did you know you can get spoonable? As in, you put a spoon in the plastic jar with screwtop lid, and there is no dripping and it falls off the spoon cleanly. Only ever found it once but definitely going to look again next time I'm over and buy loads of the stuff
Falls off the spoon cleanly? Yikes, that can't be right. The real stuff will keep falling off the spoon for eternity.

It's definitely the real stuff. And fantastic for baking because you get exactly what you need.
