Can anyone help, I've been trying different cottage cheeses for the past 7 year on and off and I can't for the life of me find one like back home in sainsbury's / Asda / Marks and Sparks or wherever.

Every one I've opened is mush and 'small curd' crap.

I need to find one that's big curd lumps like back home.

Do you know a brand, and what store etc PLEASE

I hope someone's come across a decent one. Cos if I have to go on 'another diet' after crimbo, it's going to require me to eat cottage cheese, and I need to find half decent crap, rather than shitty shitty small curd mushy crap.

THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!

I can't think of any specific brands at the moment but some brands have a large curd variety which I like a lot better. Some brands also have a variety called dry curd that's not so soupy like some of them are. I like "Land O Lakes" brand - but I think that's only found in Minnesota - sorry (
Check the package Nicky
I know some has 'large curd' on some packages . . . watch someone edit 'large turd'
I'm trying I swear, but I've not found any that say large curd on yet, I've tried Whole Foods, Stop and Shop, Bread and Circus. ..... sigh.

Nicky, I know just what you meant about the cottage cheese (and no, not the birthing photos roll lol ). I hate the cottage cheese over here and have never found anything yet that I could stomach.

Katy loves the cottage cheese over here. roll

I wonder how easy it would be to make it yourself?
I think cottage cheese is easy to make. Whe I was teaching I once found the method in a school science book. Come to think of it, I think I did it once - I seem to remember stringing some muslin between the four legs of an upturned chair to drain the whey....
Nicky - they have large-curd cottage cheese in Shaws supermarket - made by Hood.
I saw it there myself this very morning - I'd have bought some and delivered it to you myself if I'd been able to!
oh Jan that's awsome, I've never been in a Shaw's, I'd better go as soon as I've eaten everything over christmas and then quit cold turkey.

Thanks for looking for me !!! see you soon hopefully. grin
