There ws a question about the fact it may not be a suitable topic for such a message board as this. Personally, I find it pointless but will let it stand barring any complaints about it.

Actually I heard this topic on the BBC World Service whilst I was driving yesterday.

The question was more about the title than the topic.

What was wrong with the title? And was was it removed without an explanation?
And its from a BBC website too . . . .I don't see why it ruffled feathers

I could see their point and you had not made any further comment about the thread other than to post a link and a few smileys, so I moved the thread. Until now, maczippy and Nigel have generally refused to discuss moderating issues and have never posted reasons, so I did not post a reason. Clearly the fact that you are a personal friend of MacZ's shifts the boundaries. The thread is back. End of story. No?

From what ive seen and i hav,nt seen the post of spoken to anyboby about it ,but from the past pleasent and insightfull posts marmitemaniac has shared with us it seems hightly unlikely that she would post anything of a offense nature .

having said that rules are rules and IF by change the above named member had
posted something that appeared to go beyond the limits set for this board i find it offensive that if would be overloked becuase of fiendship with another member who happens to be a mod .

there is and should be one set of rules for all applied evenly.
we all belong to this family and all pay the same.
cus some members choice to socialize personaly outside of the confines of this board doesnt in my mind give them any special privileges .

If it does it looks like it is the old critizism of this board that was bought up by new members many moons ago that it has ***** cliques ****
