I mean surely you ask if there are nuts in the pies if you're allergic, and the cocoa, I ask you, and to be honest if you want to choke on tinsel decor, shouldn't you do it at home?

It seems to me that nowadays authority allows no-one to trust their own judgment and commonsense and people are being taught not to trust anybody else either and if mistakes are made, people will face the law.

I can't understand it at all. At my kids' school there are to be no more bake sales nor are kids allowed to bring in any food for a class party unless it is pre-packaged with full list of ingredients in case the kid four classrooms away with a peanut allergy should accidentally come in contact with something with nuts in.
