I am so excited, hubby told me over the weekend that the next trip home is a definate and will be in August and for at least 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy, can you tell mrgreen

With his new job there is an element of travel to meet clients and go to gaming conventions etc. So we have a Las Vegas trip in Feb and a UK trip in August, cannot wait. He will spend a week with clients and a show and and a week with family and friends, the boys and I will have 2 weeks of blighty.

Now back to my sick kids, have a great day 8)
Sory that the kids are sick.

I like to go home once a year, I feel it keeps me sane.
Thanks dianey, one is just getting over croup and the other some unknown cough and stomach ache like they say tis the season. I have my Mum visiting on the 22nd so everyone must get better!

Once a year would be nice, haven't been able to do that whilst in the Greencard process now all is settled we can do this. It also helps that my husbands company need him to travel there too ;)
I go home every 6 months or so, nowhere near enough. About 5 times a year would suit.
Hope you enjoy the trips back - should be great fun for you all.

I like to go back at least once a year but haven't been able to this year. I feel lucky though as my family often come over here so I do at least see them once a year on one continent or the other.
How about a permanent move back?

Think about it.
No more;

jellied salads
jibes from in-laws
strip malls
heat and humidity
freezing cold
bears
American newspapers
American politics
Fox news
Blank stars at your jokes
Car chases on tv
Crap tv
Crap radio stations
Annoying accents
Being an outsider for ever.

You’d get;

Family
Pub lunches
Proper Christmases
Holidays to Europe
Holidays
Good TV
Newspapers that aren’t boring
Clothes other than tee shirts and jeans
Petty churches that are empty
Politeness
Sports you understand
Good schools
Open mindedness

Oh and not being an outsider for ever.
I never know why you don't take your own advice Moo.
I like car chases on tv.

As for crap radio stations, that's what cd players are for.

And there are plenty of annoying Brit accents too.
