Hi to all,
I now live in Russia and came here 6 years ago . I regard Russia as an experience even though and sometimes I miss England as I have family there. My reasons to come here are simple . I met my Russian wife on the internet after the passing of my 2nd late wife and I had to leave my home town of Braintree, Eseex due to a case of "FOLLOWING MY HEART" and to carry on regardless . I am semi-retired and I like the people here. They are friendly as they like the British people and as far as I know, the only Brit living in my home town of Tver and I get on with them. I am part of the furniture type of situation. I find it also a slower pace of life here quiet, and peaceful if you live n the conutry as my wife owns a dacha .
Laslty.I can say this in all honesty that I do have one Canadian buddy here in the same town and we are quite a novelty amongst the locals and we are RESPECTED at all times . Lastly, Russian people are of a quiet nature, reserved despite all odds and living here is STRESS FREE ! and as I am a musician and composer they apprecitate my music more than expected. I live in a small a flat but is it warm and cosy ! my Russian wife goes to work and I look after the flat or apartment as one calls it here ! there are 3 Americans living and married to their Russian wives . and Richard my Canadian buddy runs a Russian dating angency very successful if I may boldly say. Russian women are strong in character and far more loyal as one can expect. Thank you for your time ,
