I find it astonishing that anyone might think Santorum was worthy of appointment to the SCOTUS, even under a Republican congress. The chances of him ever being confirmed by a Democrat controlled Senate seem remote in the extreme.
I'd like to think he would craw back under what ever rock he emerged from, but suspect there is some rightwing think tank or university that will employ him... and of course he has a future as a Faux News pundit.

And how in holy hell did George Allen make it neck and neck?

It's beginning to look like he'll concede ...

Do you know what his black labs' name is?

Guess...

Andrew :)

Gay marriage is something I strongly support, but it does seem I'm in the minority there.

What? Have you taken leave of your senses?

Having seen the nightmare that are British teenagers again I think I'm safer moving back when my kids get to be around that age.

Teenagers around us aren't much better, its just that the guns they carry are legal...

I want to know if JohnA voted for Kinky Friedman and his '"dewussification" of Texas'...?
On Have I Got News For you last night Ian Hislop stated that the Democrats had won both the Congress and the Senate. Heard it again today on Channel 4 news. Oh dear.

And the Labour Party have drafted in Howard Dean for advice too on winning the "British midterms" - which would be odd if Harold Ford replaced him as Carville suggests -

So that's both Al Gore and Howard Dean on the Labour Party payroll now. So there you go - fail to be elected President and join the Labour Party. Fail to be elected Prime Minister and join the European Parliament. Marvelous.
I can understand Ch4 News. But I am most dissappointed in Ian Hislop. When my parents came over they said Angus Deayton had to leave HIGNFY due to some sex scandal. Shame.
