I just applied for my two babies for there UK passports (sent there US ones along too). They sent the application back as one of the long form birth certificate wasn't issued within 3 months of birth, so they want "hospital records", any one been in this situation, are they talking about the bill, the discharge papers? I called the hospital and there records are in the state capital and would take 7-10 days to retrieve, I am in no rush, but really don't understand what they need. I have to start digging tonight to find whatever I can.

I would make copies of all hospital records for the child to keep for yourself and then send everything in the file.
You should get everything back and they will have everything they need.
