Just to introduce myself and try to get some help and information on how best to emigrate. Looking at going to Canada, Edmonton in particular.
Live in the SE of England and have a family....of sorts. Want to move to Canada and I am gobsnmacked at how expensive and how lengthy (and tenuous) the process can be. One mistake and that's your loot down the drain.
Really keen to speak to others like me who have made the jump and now live and work in Canada. I have some contractural obligations with my employer and cannot leave England until end of 2009 but this seems top be approaching quick enough.
Is there anyone who can help me avoid the usual and not so usual pitfalls? I am possibly looking at the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) but don't want to rely on that in case the job I am looking at goes a bit belly up! No certainties in this life.
