cry Hi All, just to say that came to OZ in 1974 with wife and 2 little
kids , must say that Australia has been good to us all , and now have
4 grand kids all Aussie born , my wife & our extended family love it here
and would not leave under any conditions.
But what I have to keep suppressed as I love them all is the fact that I have
been homesick and missing the old country since day one 33 years ago !!
in particular this last 10 years since retirement, but it would cause some
hurt should they know how I feel inside , especialy as it was my idea to
emigrate in the first place .
I don't think a visit would do much to help ,as I probably would not want to leave
again ? despite many people telling me how much it has all changed over there
and that I am really missing an era more than the country . but I reckon
the U.K may have changed it's politics, people, way of life etc etc . but it is still
the beutifull place I knew , they cannot surely take that away ?.
Funny really how one burns their bridges behind them without even knowing it .
