My boyfriend and I are thinking of moving to the Key Largo (possibley Miami) area next summer, for a year or so, he has had offers for Scuba instructor jobs but I don't know if work is available for me. I understand from threads that you need to make sure you can get a Visa - if I had a job when I applied would that help?

Does anyone know of any agencies I could use or what the liklihood of getting freelance work is?

Plus do you reckon a car i essential over there?

Pretty much any advice you can give me will be great! Ta.
Never been to Florida but have seen over a dozen states, and in just about all of them if you are without a car you are a ship out of water.
I am pretty sure as you are not married you will have to have you're own visa to stay here.
To get a visa you will need an employer who is willing to sponsor you for a job.
Agencies can help, but you did not say what type of work you are looking for.
OP's not looking for graphic design then?
