Anyone getting FIFA '07? It's out on original Xbox this week I think and 360 at the end of the month. Not sure when PC version is out - possibly already or this week?

I only finished Road To World Cup a couple of months back and then rented FIFA '06 World Cup this month from Gamefly. 06 is better than RTWC although the commentary was a bit tighter on RTWC.

06 commentary is good in places and then hopeless in others, like it gives credit to a long throw sometimes when you score, even though the play started from a goal kick etc. Also, Clive Tyldsley doesn't seem to know many of the players names. Most of the goals are either through balls and one-on-ones or crosses from the wing that are headed in. Maybe it's just me but it seems a bit random as to when you can dribble the ball past opposing players, even with the tricks on the 2nd joystick.

Supposedly a lot of this is fixed in 07 so I'll maybe give it a whirl. Hopefully there will be club teams again as I'm looking forward to Plymouth Argyle giving Arsenal or Chelsea a good and deserved drubbing.

I have Konami Winning Eleven 8. Its very realistic but quite difficult to master

I am waiting to see the reviews of the Playstation 3 before I commit to a next gen system.

Boycotting this year since there'll be no Oxford United in it due to their relegation from the league last season....

I'll get it next year when we're back in it... ;)

(9 points clear at the top of the conference!   )

I heard Winning Eleven is way better than any of the FIFA games but isn't out on next-gen for a while - at least it is in development though so I'll give that a look. Might hurt a bit without the licensing but the gameplay matters more anyway.

I don't hear much about PS3 - only grumbles really. Some of the new features on it look pretty neat but the high purchase price and talk of games costing between $60 and $100 each is outlandish!

I'd miss the rumble pack too which has been dumped from the Sony - most 360 games use it, even FIFA had it as a distraction for penalties and you could even make your opponents controller shake if he had a penalty against you.

If the Sony turns out to be any good, I'd get one as well but not if games are $100. The Blu-Ray inclusion is a great marketing idea though - no idea where I will put the Microsoft HD external player for the 360 as I've used the rear USB port for wi-fi on the console and the entertainment rack is jammed full of stuff.

Bugger.

Only seven leagues in the Xbox 360 version so English Premier is as good as it gets.

Sod it - will wait for 08 I guess.

I changed all the names of the teams and the players as they do represent the actual teams and players, eg North London White is obviously Spurs. That said, it dosen't change the stupid announcers.

As with most of those games they are much better fun palying against actual people and not the console.

Please tell me they didn't bring John Motsn and Ally McCoish back for 07?
I think they call it Pro Evolution in the UK.

And they call French fries, chips. What a wacky place.
