My husband is from Barnsley - not too far from Leeds! He's been her just over 2 years now. He is settled here but does get home sick sometime and misses a lot of things about England (especially the food). He always says "I just wish there was a chippy 'round corner". Well there is a KFC 'round corner! wink

Hello Lynne and welcome.
I'm from just over the border from you from Lancashire.
Can't say there's much I miss from there anymore.
I have 3 kittens and 2 dogs.
My fiance has 3 dogs, 1 kitten, 4 goats and 1 or 2 rabbits (haven't seen one for a while could have run off or eaten).
We also have teen kids, 2 for me 1 for him.
Glad you have found a little taste of home here although we chat about everything, not just the UK.

I've still not explored half of what's in this site although I did find a link on the main page to a place in Florida that makes and ships pork pies so I'm ordering me and the hubbie one for Chrimbo.
