When Crouch still played for Southampton but was being relegated, I said to my wife, a Liverpool fan, her team should sign him as they need a goalscorer and he's going down to the Championship.

Then they signed him.

The day before yesterday she said they HAVE to play him in the CL game this week.

Then he scores within 8 minutes or so, and in the second half this happens:



He's got all the grace of a lanky swan but is he effective or what???

Good goal scorer. He gets a lot of fouls against him do to his height and akwardness.

England are doing well with him atm. That and the fact David B and Rooney are not playing. I hope the England manager picks the team on merit and not who the Newspapers think should play.

He's impressing me a great deal - you can't argue with goal numbers after all. He's always had a good touch but he's just flying at the moment. Rafa says he was giving him 2 weeks off - I was worried he'd lose the amazing form but after that performance I'm well happy.
